unknown750xx4032-2268-0-378Our September Fly-in will be a fun weekend in Old Town Sacramento on September 27-29.  We will be staying at the Embassy Suites overlooking the the Golden Tower Bridge above the Sacramento River.  The hotel is located adjacent to Old Town Sacramento where you can find the world-famous California State Railway Museum (this is a must-see attraction), lots of shops and restaurants, scenic river cruises, etc.  The hotel is also within walking distance of the State Capitol where free tours are offered.  You also have the option to visit the Aerospace Museum of California located at McClellan Airport upon your arrival Friday or before departing Sunday.

Sacramento River Tower BridgeWe have a special rate for the hotel of $247.70 per night (including tax).  This special rate will only be available for reservations made on or before September 6 (to get this rate, reserve using this link or call the hotel at 916-326-5000 and request the DAF or Del Amo Flyers rate).  When considering this rate, please keep in mind that a full hot breakfast is included and that, because of its location, there is not a need to rent a car for this trip.  Jodie and I will be available to shuttle people between the airport (McClellan KMCC) and hotel, or you can arrange for an inexpensive Uber.  Please note that if you do get a car, parking in downtown Sacramento can be pricey.

Friday night:  Happy Hour at the hotel (dinner on your own).

Saturday: Free time to explore museums, tour State Capitol, take a river cruise, shop, etc.

Saturday Night: Group dinner at the Rio City Cafe on the waterfront

Sunday:  Departure (option to explore Aerospace Museum of California at KMCC before departure).

This is going to be a fun weekend - we hope you can make it.  Please contact Larry or Jodie Chapman with any questions.
